​Catfish Cook Off















Saturday, May 27th

Judging will begin at 12:30

Public service will begin as soon as Judges are served all entries.

Entries must be in by 9am Saturday, May 27th.

​To Pre-register your entry form must be received by May 26th.


Rules

​Catfish will be provided to cookers and cookers agree to prepare a maximum of 5 pounds of fish.

​Catfish will be given to teams at the cook's meeting at 9:30am at the cook shack in Lion's Park.

​Teams must be set up  and ready to cook at that time. Teams are responsible for all cooking supplies and ingredients.

All fish must be prepared on the grounds and from scratch.

Competition plates for the judges must be ready at 12:30pm

​Judging will be based on the following criteria:

Taste, Texture, Appearance, and originality.

The decision of the Judges is final.

Prizes

1st Place $100

2nd Place $75.00

3rd Place $50

​People's choice $25 + Prize

The real winners are those who purchase a tasting plate & get to sample food from every contestant.

​After eating please vote for your favorite catfish for The People's Choice Award

​Tasting Plates $10.00 adults & $3.00 for children under 10 years of age.

​includes Catfish from every Cooker, fries, coleslaw, and drink.
